Apple iPad mini 32GB WiFi + Cellular Review
The Apple iPad mini 32GB WiFi + Cellular is the latest addition to the Apple's range of iPads. This device is a compact tablet with a 7.9-inch powerful display and two cameras.
It showcases certain other features such as cellular network, advanced dual-band Wi-Fi and support for 4G. Furthermore, this smart tablet is powered by the iOS6 operating system and is equipped with an A6X processor, comparing far better than its predecessors both in terms of styling and features. The Apple iPad Mini has smart 7.9-inch LED backlit multi-touch display built with the In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology. The screen offers clear and sharp viewing angles and comes with a welcome fingerprint resistant coating.
Its display shows a satisfactory resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, even if a bit low in comparison to the other tablets available in this range. This, however, might come down to a matter of preference. Apple iPad mini comes equipped with 2HD cameras i.e. a 5 MP iSight primary camera and a 1.2 MP frontal secondary camera. Being powered by features such as video stabilization, autofocus, tap-to-focus, geo-tagging and face detection, the primary camera produces excellent quality pictures along with high quality video recording at 1080p. The device supports majority of the leading audio and video formats such as AAC, MP3, WAV, MPEG4, WMV etc.
Although there is no built-in support for radio, one can use various websites for listening to the radio through Wi-Fi or cellular internet services. In terms of connectivity, this product supports the major devices such as USB, GPS, and microphone. The Apple iPad Mini has a powerful 16.3-Watt battery that allows standby time of approximately 10hrs, which is pretty smart for a midsized tablet. Apart from this, the tablet is perfectly sized and shaped for the purpose of holding and carrying, and sports a visually elegant design. When compared in terms of designing, pricing and features, it stands better than its predecessors. It has a better screen resolution, bigger capacity RAM, HD camera, slimmer and light weight body and a better battery backup. Moreover for the app lovers this device may seem to be a heaven of apps, since it has the largest library of tablet apps around.
But along with all the pros there are several cons too. The iPad is quite expensive, wide and slippery in comparison to the other midsized tablets of the same category. Owing to the brand name Apple Inc., the tablet is bit overhyped and one tends to pay more for the features that he/she can easily get in some other less expensive device of the same category.
However, overall the iPad mini is one of the most talked about and sought after tablets available in the market and is considered to be the prime product in its segment owing to its cool features and branding. It is beautifully made, is pretty slim and light to hold, and that makes it an eye-catching device that can be carried around with much ease. So if you are an Apple fan and wish to upgrade yourself from the prior version of iPad, the Apple iPad mini 32GB WiFi + Cellular would be a great buy for you.
